The Employer in collaboration with the Employer's Delegate of Trento Funivie S.p.A. has decided to commit, beyond respect for the environment and the health and safety of workers, also to their continuous improvement by implementing and applying the Management System for the Environment and for Health and Safety at Work.
The Employer has therefore committed to defining an appropriate documentary system to ensure that every worker can become aware and conscious of the importance of compliance with the Policy, the procedures and requirements of the safety and environmental management system, their own role and responsibility to achieve compliance with the safety and environmental policy and the real or potential consequences of their work activities on their own safety and that of other workers and on the environment.
The Management System for the Environment and Health and Safety at Work implemented by Trento Funivie S.p.A. takes into account the nature and extent of the risks of the activities as well as the specificity of the organizational structure and has the following purpose:
“Health and safety at work and respect for the environment are a commitment for everyone, which is manifested not only in respecting correct behaviors for the health and safety of workers and for the environment in carrying out their work, but also in constantly creating the most suitable conditions for this to happen.”
To achieve this, Trento Funivie S.p.A. commits to:
a) apply the strategy of commitment to continuous improvement in the management activities of health and safety at work and the environment;
b) apply the provisions regarding health and safety at work and the environment contained in the applicable current mandatory legislation;
c) develop and maintain an integrated management system for the environment and health and safety at work consistent with the UNI EN ISO 14001:2015 and UNI ISO 45001:2018 standards;
d) document the main activities of risk assessment, identification of prevention and protection measures, planning, implementation and control of adjustment and/or improvement interventions in the field of occupational safety;
e) keep the Risk Assessment Document (DVR) continuously updated whenever necessary due to structural, plant, change of use of premises, regulatory, organizational changes or for the introduction of new risks, with strong involvement of workers and their safety representative;
f) plan interventions in the field of health and safety at work contained in the planning tools, drawn up based on a realistic priority scale and obtain sufficient and suitable human and technical resources to implement them;
g) maintain and improve the relationship of collaboration and mutual exchange of information with the workers' safety representative;
h) eliminate environmental risks with the knowledge acquired based on technical progress and, where this is not possible, reduce them to a minimum by acting on the possible causes that generated them;
i) adopt, as far as possible, technologies with low environmental impact;
j) ensure the continuous adaptation of the IMS and interventions in safety and environment to the needs of its workers and, in a balanced way, to the needs and expectations of all other interested parties;
k) disseminate the contents, strategies and objectives of the IMS and the policy for health and safety and for the environment in every part of the organization, so as to make all workers aware of their responsibilities;
l) promote training, awareness and information activities concerning health and safety at work and the environment;
m) make documentation relating to the development and maintenance of the IMS accessible to all interested parties;
n) ensure open collaboration with suppliers, bodies and administrations, control authorities and social forces for the management of issues related to the environment, health and safety of all interested parties;
o) involve suppliers in the management of risks for the environment and for health and safety in the workplace also with reference to the management of interferences with the service's work activities and emergencies (fire, spills of hazardous substances and other types of emergency);
p) subject the Policy and the entire integrated management system to periodic review to evaluate its correctness and effectiveness in the perspective of continuous improvement;
q) ensure continuous monitoring of non-conformity management (detection, analysis, closure and verification);
r) promote improvement actions in order to reduce the probability of accidents, injuries, near misses and occupational diseases and reduce its environmental impact;
s) minimize the frequency and severity rates of injuries tending to zero.
The Employer, to pursue its objectives, defines, on the occasion of reviews, appropriate programs and specific targets with measurable indicators, capable of highlighting the ability to build and maintain a service with the best possible performance in terms of environment and health and safety in the workplace. This Policy is communicated by top management to all those who operate for or on behalf of the organization and is periodically reviewed to ensure that it remains effective and its continuous adequacy is guaranteed according to the evolving business context and based on the definition of new corporate objectives. It is also made available to the public and all interested parties in order to demonstrate, even outside the Company, the commitment made for the protection of the environment and the health and safety of workers.
